(B) WORKLIFE BALANCE & RESILIENCE TRACK - RETHINKING THE WAY WE WORK AND LIVE
As life-long employability and work life issues challenge professionals increasingly, these two workshops aim to expose you to a different way of looking at your personal career and life goals.
Work-Life realities have changed in the New Economy, requiring us to rethink the way we work and live. Your quality of life and work is a personal choice and responsibility. Take the first step to be encouraged, restored and planted to flourish in your work, personal and family lives holistically.
SIFE students seeking to introduce projects among communities with resistant mindsets or challenging conditions will greatly benefit from H.I.P. Resilient Leadership. Learn how to be more self-and-other aware, and bridge the gap by engaging your whole person. Singapore 059817
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Dress Code: Office Attire
The workshop will be conducted by Mr Yong Wai Sing, Learning & Development Manager, Human Resources Department, Chartis.
Wai Sing has requested that all participants fill in their observations and thoughts in the attached two documents so that he can focus on what they are doing right, and to build on it. This would make the workshop a better learning experience for all participants.
1. Delivering Presentations Professionally Assessment
This document is an assessment sheet. Between now and the workshop, participants are requested to get someone to observe and assess them based on the criteria in the form. If a person exemplifies a positive action, they should mark down a ‘+’ to that specific criteria. For example, if the introduction was clear, then the person gets a ‘+’ in the introduction column. If it was very clear, then the observer can put an additional ‘+’. Negative practices will incur a ‘–‘. And this must be backed by specific and constructive feedback. If participants do not have any presentations, please focus on the second document.
2. Joys and Fears template
This document is a self assessment of strengths and weaknesses. The workshop aims to help participants tap into their strengths to overcome their fears.
The above 2 documents are in your email. Please submit them to Prashant by 4 May, 12 noon. Please include your name in the Document Title.
5) Recruitment Talk
Date: 5 May 2010 (Wednesday)
Time: 9am
Venue: Business LT 17
We are required to do a recruitment talk to Diploma in Retail Management Freshmen on the above mentioned date. Anyone who is free at that time and would like to volunteer to do the presentation please let Prashant know by Tuesday, 4 May, 12 Noon. Presentation materials would be given.
6) Project Beautiful Minds
Project Beautiful Minds will be doing a video shoot at the Laksania stall at Geylang Serai on the 8th of May at 3pm (After the Career Workshop). All are encouraged to come and help out/support. Also a chance for you to see the stall and try the amazing food they have there. All those interested in attending, please inform Jamie beforehand (find her email in the team list).
See you all soon!
